Upgrading SQL Server Failover cluster is not a trivial task and as most of you probably know, it is risky and often cannot be planned ( we can hope everything goes well but still…). To adhere to the subject – how about doing an in-place upgrade – what to do, how to do it, how to prepare the cluster, how to perform the post-check…Well those are all questions that … uhhh only very experienced person can try to summarize and actually write it down. I searched the web and there are really many articles, but so far I was not able to find a simple pre-check list for in-place upgrade of SQL Serve failover cluster. I did found, though, an interesting articles on the upgrade area. So I’d like to share them (and store them in my blog once and for all for future reference)

May be most of the issues and question would not be resolved by checking those articles, but still it is a great start.
